Widex USA President Jeff Geigel announced today the return of Eric Spar as the company’s VP of Strategic Development.
According to Widex, Spar is looking forward to re-establishing his presence in the industry and making an even greater impact. “I am truly excited to have the opportunity to work with current and future generations of bright and motivated hearing healthcare professionals,” says Spar.
Widex USA stands to greatly benefit from Eric Spar’s vast experience in the industry, reports the company. “This is the perfect time to have Eric back at the company,” said Geigel. “As we continue to experience phenomenal growth and introduce a significant pipeline of ground-breaking products, he will be a valuable asset to our executive team and the entire Widex family.”
One might say Spar has the hearing aid business in his blood. The son of Harold Spar—who along with Henry Meltsner in 1956 co-founded Widex Hearing Aid Company which distributed products for Widex AS in Denmark—Eric Spar served as vice president of the company for many years, leaving in 2010.
The audiology community is excited about Eric’s return, as well, says Widex. Kadyn Williams, AuD, a highly respected member of the Audiology community, and Helena Solodar, AuD, immediate past chair of AudiologyNow! and former AAA board member, who are co-founders of Audiological Consultants of Atlanta, said in a press statement: “Eric has been a tremendous asset to the world of Audiology, both with seasoned Audiologists and new-minded Audiologists alike. His long time commitment to, and knowledge of, our industry is invaluable and his business acumen has always proven to be of great significance. We are very excited that he is returning to our industry, and we welcome him back with open arms.”
I’m totally retired for 5 years. We’re driving to Sedalia. Being the passenger, my mind drifted to remembering the wonderful time we had back in the 80’s demonstrating HalHen products.
I worked with Eric back when The Quattro was first introduced to America. A great guy.
Eric, your energy and passion for care will be enjoyed by everyone who gets the chance to work with you.
Congratulations Eric! Wishing you the very best of luck!
Congratulations to Eric and Widex USA! I was very fortunate to have worked with Eric for many years.
I’m so excited to have Eric back at Widex. He is the best and I missed him so much. Good move Eric.
Big Congrats, Eric!!! Hope you’re doing well.
