The Ida Institute announced it is now accepting proposals for the 2021 Ida Institute Research Grants. The grants award funding to projects that develop evidence related to Ida Institute initiatives and demonstrate the effects of person-centered care in hearing rehabilitation. The Ida Institute has allocated funding to the value of $30,000 to be awarded to three projects in 2021, with a maximum of $10,000 per grant.

Ida Institute Managing Director Lise Lotte Bundesen said, “Our funding aims to continually expand knowledge in the area of person-centered care and ensure growing awareness and implementation. This will help hearing care professionals deliver better care while supporting people with hearing loss on their journey towards better hearing.”
In 2021, the Ida Institute is particularly interested in projects related to:
- Outcomes of online hearing care using Ida tools and resources,
- Experiences of and/or outcomes with My Hearing Explained for Children.
The timeline of the projects is one year. Grant recipients agree to begin their research projects no later than September 1, 2021 and submit a report on the results to the Ida Institute no later than September 1, 2022.

The application form is available at: www.idainstitute.com/what_we_do/research_grants. Completed forms should be sent to [email protected]. The deadline for applications is Monday, March 8, 2021 at 12:00 GMT. Receipt of applications will be acknowledged by email.
The Ida Institute Research Committee will review and select successful grant proposals. The grant recipients will be notified directly and announced publicly in May 2021.
