Audigy, Vancouver, Wash, one of the nation’s largest consortiums of private-practice hearing care, ENT, neurotology, and university program providers, convened its membership at the annual Audigy Team Summit event, held September 22-24 at the Cosmopolitan in Las Vegas, to discuss innovative approaches to business, marketing, and patient care.
This year’s 2016 Team Summit, hosted by Audigy CEO Brandon Dawson, brought together some of the most exceptional hearing care professionals in the country, along with world-renowned business and leadership experts. Over 1,300 guests attended the event. The Audigy team has spent the better part of 2016 in preparation for the Team Summit event, creating dozens of highly targeted courses in order to inspire and support each person in the practice in delivering a higher standard of care to their communities.
Appearing at the conference as a keynote speaker was business expert and host of CNBC reality series “The Profit” Marcus Lemonis. Also speaking at the event was Juliet Funt, CEO of WhiteSpace at Work, best-selling author of the “Rich Dad, Poor Dad” series Sharon Lechter, author and body language expert Tonya Reiman, as well as workforce dynamics expert Seth Mattison.
In addition to the program of influential speakers, Audigy’s 285 member practices met with manufacturers and other service providers in the industry to discuss the needs of advanced private practices and how the industry can have a greater impact on the patients we serve. The event kicked off with a technology summit where ReSound, Starkey, Oticon, Widex, and Sivantos — five of the world’s six major hearing aid manufacturers — were present to provide hands-on training to providers in order to help elevate patient care through their most recent technology advancements.
During the event, Audigy also introduced Clarity™, the end-to-end allergy solution software designed to revolutionize allergy management for ENT and allergy-based medical practices. The intuitive software platform helps care providers ensure process consistency, gain confidence to scale their departments, and increase time efficiency, all while providing the best patient experience and improved patient outcomes.
There were more than 50 audiology students in attendance, which highlights Audigy’s commitment to the future of hearing care. Over 100 students applied to participate in the event, and those who were selected learned invaluable interviewing, networking, and business management skills at the event. Audigy strives to support students seeking private practice opportunities, both in job placement and practice ownership capacities.
During Dawson’s opening keynote address, ReSound CEO Anders Hedegaard made a special appearance to applaud the Audigy membership for their efforts in providing exceptional patient care through a private practice experience. Audigy became a subsidiary of ReSound, one of the world’s largest hearing aid manufacturers, in July of 2016. Details of the acquisition by GN Hearing (GN Store Nord), which also owns ReSound, were covered in a July 2016 article in Hearing Review.
“The focus of our 2016 Team Summit was on developing exceptional leadership and commitment within our members’ practices to drive growth beyond the traditionally observed limits of the hearing care industry,” said Dawson in an announcement from Audigy. “This was the most important meeting of our membership to date.”
