Eden Prairie, Minn — Diagnostic Group LLC, the parent company of diagnostic equipment manufacturers Maico, Grason-Stadler, Interacoustics, Tremetrics, and Amplivox, has announced the acquisition of Sensory Devices Inc, effective June 1 2011.

Formerly known as “Radio Ear,” Sensory Devices has been a manufacturer of clinical bone conduction testing equipment for over 25 years. Founded in 1924, the company has been providing products to help patients with hearing loss since its inception. It is perhaps best known for its Radio Ear B71 bone vibrator.

Diagnostic Group will maintain Sensory Devices’ operations in New Eagle, Pa. Sensory Devices’ president, Harold Holsopple, and other management team members will stay on for a period to ensure a smooth transition to a new management group.
