The American Auditory Society, Dammeron Valley, Utah, has planned its annual meeting on March 5 to 7, 2009 in Scottsdale, Ariz. 

The preliminary program includes the Carhart Memorial Lecture delivered by Mike Merzenich, PhD,
University of California San Francisco; and a special session on cochlear implants features a panel from the Washington University School of Medicine, St Louis, including Laura Holden, AuD, Jill Firszt, PhD,
Lisa Davidson, PhD, and Nancy Tye-Murray, PhD.

Translational research presentations are scheduled to be delivered by Mary-Claire King, PhD, University of Washington, Seattle; Robert J. Zatorre, PhD, McGill University, Montreal; Jochen Schacht, PhD, University of Michigan, Ann Arbor; and Jay Rubinstein, MD, PhD, University of Washington, Seattle.
