Bethesda, Md —The Hearing Loss Association of America (HLAA) continues its free webinar series with "Hearing Research: New Devices, Treatments & Remedies You Can Expect" with guest speaker Jack J. Wazen, MD, FACS.

Wazen is an otologist-neurotologist and surgeon who currently serves as Silverstein Institute Director of Research at the Ear Research Foundation, and has over 20 years of experience as a practitioner, professor, and researcher at noted universities and institutions.

The webinar will highlight some of the new remedies we can expect soon, such as new forms of implantable hearing devices and intraympanic treatments, which can be placed in the ear with minimally invasive office or outpatient procedures. These self-administering applications offer the potential to significantly increase the effectiveness for treating and relieving many ear, hearing disorders as well as the promise to preserve normal hearing.

The webinar will be broadcast on Wednesday, January 12, 2011, 7:00 pm EST. However, the recorded webinar and transcript (as well as past webinars) are available online.
