Starkey Laboratories Inc, Eden Prairie, Minn, has earned a Distinguished Honoree Stevie medal in the Best New Product or Service of the Year – Consumer Products category for Sweep Technology, which is featured on S Series iQ hearing aids. The International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in business, notes the company.
“Sweep Technology makes hearing aids smarter and simpler,” said Jerry Ruzicka, president of Starkey. “We are proud to be recognized on an international level for our innovation.”
Honorees were selected from more than 1,700 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 40 countries. Honorees were determined through two rounds of judging by professionals worldwide.
Sweep Technology is available on Starkey behind-the-ear (BTE) hearing aids. A touch panel on the spine of the hearing aid allows wearers to adjust volume up or down and change the memory setting with the sweep or touch of a finger.
Stevie Awards are conferred in four programs: The American Business Awards, the International Business Awards, the Stevie Awards for Women in Business, and the Stevie Awards for Sales & Customer Service.
