AtlasIED— a global manufacturer of comprehensive audio solutions for commercial business environments—announced it will showcase a range of new products that emphasize aesthetics, functionality, and audio fidelity. Supported by the experience and enthusiasm of AtlasIED’s newly expanded sales and marketing teams, the company will debut new loudspeaker lines, sound-masking solutions, and more at Integrated Systems Europe (ISE) 2019 in stand 6-K160.
Building upon 80 years of experience in audio technology, AtlasIED’s latest offerings are said to be engineered to meet the most common challenges in today’s commercial installations. Designed specifically for the business, retail, corporate, healthcare, and educational markets, the new Z Series of sound masking products and the SHS Series of speakers, along with the IPX Series of IP Endpoints, fill niches for integrators.
NEW: Z Series All-in-One Sound Masking Solutions
Launching for the first time at ISE 2019, the Z Series is described as “an all-in-one sound masking solution that provides high-quality speech privacy, high-definition background music, and paging functionality.”
The Z Series consists of a choice of a four-zone (Z4) or two-zone (Z2) high-definition acoustical system and a wireless-enhanced speech privacy activation sign. Both the Z4 and Z2 include integrated pink and white noise generators for sound masking, as well as mic-line input for paging/background music and a Bluetooth receiver for wireless music transmission.
Now shipping, the Z Series models are designed to be easy to install. Models can be mounted in-wall, on-wall, or in a rack. Once installed, all hardware and wiring are centrally located behind the secure front panel, helping to make it convenient to access for post-installation service. The front panel display allows for system programming as well as end-user control.
Ideal for healthcare and professional office applications and other environments where sound masking, background music, and paging are a vital part of day-to-day operations, the Z Series simplifies sound masking.
“With an increasing need for sound masking in healthcare and corporate environments, the Z Series gives integrators a highly flexible and functional solution,” said AtlasIED President and CEO John Ivey. “With high-definition audio capabilities, superior sound masking, and an easy-to-use interface, the Z Series is tech that transforms.”
NEW: Strategically Hidden Speaker (SHS)
AtlasIED introduces the SHS Series, Strategically Hidden Speaker, to an international audience for the first time at ISE 2019.
The concealed design of the SHS is said to be achieved by Adaptive Dispersion Lens Technology, a new, patented waveguide form, according to the company’s announcement. Only a 3-inch diameter lens and a micro trim ring are visible on the ceiling. According to Atlas IED, the dispersion lens can be painted or replaced with material to match the ceiling, allowing the SHS to blend in without compromising the architectural aesthetic of the room.
Designed to deliver highly intelligible audio, the speaker has a 2-way driver that helps to provide high-definition sound. Sound exits the two-way transducer and passes through the patented adaptive dispersion lens for what’s said to be “a smooth and uniform frequency response with no ‘hot spots’” common to some loudspeakers. The speaker uses an integrated 32-watt 70V/100V transformer with a sealed enclosure above the ceiling for “optimal bass response,” and offers 180-degree dispersion for full coverage in any environment. The SHS Series speakers include three dispersive lens configurations for flexibility and functionality in any room, regardless of ceiling height.
NEW: AtlasIED’s DesignLab™ Custom Print Process
For hard-to-match environments, AtlasIED’s DesignLab™ custom print process uses a UV-printer to replicate colors, textures, and patterns, helping enable the SHS to blend into an environment. Upload an image, provide a numeric color specification, or send a 6-inch sample of the ceiling tile to be matched, and the experts at AtlasIED will do the rest.
NEW: IPX Series IP Endpoints
AtlasIED also reveals the IPX Series IP Endpoints to the international market for the first time. Tailored to the K-12 educational and healthcare markets as well as other facilities requiring a robust, high-tech communications system, the third-generation IPX Series helps ensure notification through audio and visual messaging.
Through a Unified Communications (UC) environment or the AtlasIED GLOBALCOM.IP ecosystem, the IPX Series is said to deliver smart automation, including pre-programmed notifications for common functions like bells and critical alerts. A comprehensive library of pre-recorded messages is available through GLOBALCOM.IP or .EDU, which can be broadcast across the facility or directed to specific zones.
The IPX Series uses existing IT infrastructure for convenience and cost-savings, and offers Auto Provisioning once it is on the network. “Talk To Me.” Interoperability helps ensure the IPX units can work within any VoIP system, as they are open-platform engineered to communicate and be controlled by providers of Unified Communications software platforms and standard SIP PBX systems.
“The team at AtlasIED continues to refine and reimagine our products based on customer input, and the IPX Series checks all the boxes,” said Alex Puorro, VP of IP Endpoint Development. “The products offer features the market has been waiting for, including IP-based audio and video communications options that live on the existing network and the flexibility to add third party software. The IPX Series will vastly increase the efficiency and clarity of everyday communications, as well as emergency messaging, in virtually any setting, from schools to corporate offices. The new aesthetic is very contemporary and will fit into any installation.”
