Newport-Mesa Audiology Balance & Ear Institute (the Institute) announced the promotion of Jennifer Grace, AuD, to the position of Clinical Director. An eight-year veteran of the Institute, Grace is said to have been pivotal to its growth and advancement in diagnosing and treating patients with vestibular dysfunction and hearing loss.

As the new Clinical Director, Grace is responsible for leading the Institute’s team of audiologists and student externs, as well as managing clinical and administrative operations, assuring excellent patient care is consistently provided. In addition, she oversees clinical research, developing best practices in diagnostic and rehabilitative services, policies, and procedures.

Grace also leads clinical product development of the Institute’s patent-pending System For the Treatment of Vestibular Dysfunction, which provides remote, home-based treatment of dizziness, vertigo, and imbalance through virtual reality googles and corresponding software. According to the Institute’s announcement, one of her most significant achievements at the Institute includes developing the VVR app and website system to help further the availability of treatment to patients. In addition, Grace is said to have been pivotal in developing and training the Institute’s new Audiology Aide program, which allows the practice to continue to expand and grow, foster a spirit of education and training, and improve patient care.

Grace has a doctoral degree in audiology from Northwestern University and earned her Bachelor of Science degree in Speech, Language, and Hearing Sciences from San Diego State University, as her professional interests center around a pursuit of scientific knowledge and a deep desire to help people. As a member of the American Academy of Audiology (AAA) and ASHA, she is passionate about implementing cutting-edge technology to diagnose, treat, and care for patients with dizziness, vertigo, imbalance, and hearing loss.
