Halo Made for iPhone hearing aid from Starkey.

Starkey Hearing Technologies, Minneapolis, Minn, announced that is has won an Edison Award for its Halo Made for iPhone hearing aid. Halo earned a Silver Award in the Hearing section of the Science/Medical/Dental category at the Edison Awards Ceremony on April 23, 2015 in New York. This is Starkey Hearing Technologies’ fourth Edison Award. The company has previously received awards for its SoundLens, AMP, and Xino Tinnitus products.

Halo is designed to work seamlessly with smartphones to provide users with flexibility and versatility. Halo uses the TruLink Hearing Control app to provide remote control functionality, memory geotagging, direct streaming of calls, music, and other media. It is compatible with Apple Watch, iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, and select Android devices.

The Edison Awards is an annual competition designed to honor excellence in new product and service development, marketing, human-centered design, and innovation. These awards are named after inventor Thomas A. Edison and are intended to symbolize the persistence and excellence in innovation that he personified.
