Smart Diagnostic Devices will show the new SmartMove Cloud audiometric database management system to the public for the first time at the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses 2016 National Conference, April 12-13, in Jacksonville, Fla.
The first of its kind in the occupational hearing conservation industry, SmartMove Cloud offers solutions to the common challenges audiologists and hearing conservation professionals face managing hearing testing programs. SmartMove Cloud gives occupational health professionals the ability to manage thousands of audiograms over multiple years and from anywhere there is an Internet connection. SmartMove Cloud data transfer, storage, and reports help meet OSHA, MSHA, and DOT hearing program requirements.
SmartMove Cloud is designed to be easy to use. Users log on using a user name and password. The database looks like a standard Excel spreadsheet but is robust enough to transfer and store data for years. Users can transfer some or all of the data from their audiometer using SmartMove DTS (Data Transfer Software), or manually enter new audiogram data into the cloud. Once the data is transferred, they can create, save, and print individual subject reports. The reports print out on standard 8.5 x 11 paper using a standard computer printer.
In addition, Standard Threshold Shift (STS) reports can be created, saved, and printed. Potential users can try SmartMove Cloud for free.
IT departments will appreciate the fact that SmartMove Cloud is a Safe-Harbor Database. Under Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) rules, all Protected Health Information (PHI) data must be handled with the utmost technical, physical, and administrative security, and SmartMove Cloud meets the HIPAA requirements. For example, data must be encrypted in transit and at rest (when stored) according to National Institute of Standards and Technology standards. This level of encryption security means the information is considered secure (safe) even if accessed by unauthorized entities.
