In celebration of Better Hearing Month, Beltone is spotlighting the vital importance of annual hearing screenings. During a media tour held recently that will be featured on various news programs nationwide throughout May, Beltone’s Director of Patient Experience and Audiologist, MJ DeSousa, discussed safe listening practices, strategies for protecting hearing, and the latest advancements in hearing technology that help combat the stigma surrounding hearing aid use. DeSousa also emphasized the importance of hearing screenings and encouraged audiences to take advantage of the opportunity to schedule a free hearing screening at their local Beltone throughout the month of May.

Additionally, Beltone has launched its second annual Better Hearing Month hearing aid giveaway. Through May 31, 2025, Beltone is accepting nominations for individuals in need of better hearing for a chance to receive a free set of Beltone hearing aids. To be considered for the giveaway, individuals must complete a free hearing screening at a participating Beltone location and have a minimum hearing loss of 25dB.

A total of 31 sets of Beltone hearing aids will be given away, one for each day of May, to qualifying individuals through the Beltone Hearing Care Foundation, a 501(c)(3) charitable organization. Nominations can be submitted at about.beltone.com/better-hearing-month/.
