Oticon Medical has obtained accreditation as a Medicare Durable Medical Equipment Supplier from CMS. The designation allows the company to bill the Medicare Part B program for Ponto bone anchored hearing solutions furnished to Medicare beneficiaries.

The CMS DMEPOS (Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics, and Supplies) accreditation process is intended to ensure that Medicare beneficiaries have access to high quality items of durable medical equipment and is part of the federal agency’s larger vision to foster a health care system that ensures quality care for all persons on Medicare.

To earn DMEPOS accreditation, Oticon Medical met stringent CMS quality standards, which addressed such factors as product quality, business integrity, accountability, and performance management.
