Madison, Wis — Rayovac® has earned two 2011 International Business Awards for their mercury free hearing aid batteries. Nicknamed the Stevie® for the Greek word “crowned,” the International Business Awards are the only global, all-encompassing business awards program honoring great performances in business.
Rayovac’s mercury free hearing aid batteries earned the top honor for the Environmental Responsibility Program of the Year in Canada and the United States. Also, in the Health Products & Service category, they earned a Distinguished Honoree medal in the Best New Product or Service of the Year category.
The Stevie awards will be presented to honorees at a gala event on October 11 in the Emirates Palace Hotel in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates.
Stevie Award recipients were reportedly selected from more than 3,000 entries received from organizations and individuals in more than 40 nations. Organizations from all over the world are eligible to compete. They can enter more than 40 categories, from Company of the Year and Best New Product of the Year to Corporate Social Responsibility Program of the Year and Executive of the Year.
