Deloitte LLP’s rankings of technology, media, telecommunications, life sciences, and clean technology companies in North America are based on percentage of fiscal year revenue growth from 2004 to 2008.
TV Ears grew 769% over the most recent 5-year period, and credits its success to the widespread adoption of its physician-recommended TV listening devices in retail outlets such as Costco, Radio Shack, CVS Pharmacy, and QVC, and its online and hearing store channels, says a statement from the company.
Phil Asmundson, vice chairman and US technology, media, and telecommunications leader, Deloitte LLP, said in the statement that "Technology Fast 500 recognizes innovative companies that have broken down barriers to success and defied the odds with their remarkable revenue growth.”
TV Ears manufactures TV listening solutions. The company was also named to Inc Magazine’s 2009 5,000 list for the second consecutive year.
