Staefa, Switzerland – In a further transition of its management team, Sonova Holding AG has announced that Ignacio Martinez, group vice president (GVP) of international sales, will be leaving the company for personal reasons, effective mid-June 2012.
The resignation follows the recent announcement that Hartwig Grevener, currently CFO of General Dynamics, has been appointed as Sonova’s CFO, effective in August 2012.
Martinez has served as GVP of international sales since January 2005. Regarding his tenure as a member of Sonova’s management board, the press release commented that Martinez had “made a valuable contribution to the success and growth of the company.”
Prior to his GVP position, Martinez was managing director of Phonak Spain for 4 years, and is credited for the successful development of Phonak’s position in the Spanish market.
Lukas Braunschweiler, CEO of Sonova, said in the press statement, "We regret Ignacio Martinez’ decision to leave the company and would like to thank him for his dedication over the last 11 years to make our company grow and prosper across the globe. We wish him all the best in all upcoming private and business endeavors."
Sonova did not name a replacement for Martinez, but said that it would do so by the end of the fiscal year.
