The Callier Center for Communication Disorders at The University of Texas at Dallas has established the annual Callier Prize in Communications Disorders and is now accepting nominations.

The award is accompanied by $10,000 in cash and will recognize individuals for their leadership in fostering scientific advances in the diagnosis and treatment of communication disorders.

To nominate an individual for the award, send the nominee’s name and a written statement summarizing their contributions to the science of audiology to Dr. Ross J. Roeser at [email protected] or go to the Web site at www.callier.utdallas.edu/callierprize.html; a special selection committee will review nominations for the award and recommend the recipients.

A finalist will be chosen by March 2008 and will be recognized during a conference planned and hosted by the Foundation for the Callier Center in spring 2009.
