Sonic Innovations Inc, Salt Lake City, is co-sponsoring the 2009 Summit at Jackson, on September 3 through 6 in Wyoming, which will showcase topics related to hearing wellness, trends, and treatment options.

The conference will be held at the Jackson Lake Lodge in Moran, Wyo, and the theme is "What is Old, is New Again."

The event has been revived by Michael Nilsson, VP of auditory research and director of Center for Amplification
and Hearing Research at Sonic.  This year’s event builds on the previous Jackson Hole Rendezvous, a similar event that occurred bi-annually for 20 years.

"This summit is a great opportunity for clinicians and researchers to interact and to improve understanding and treatment of hearing-related disabilities," says Nilsson. "The reason we chose this theme is because many times, a company will try a technique or design a product that, unbeknownst to them, has been tried in the past by someone else without success. The Summit is a great way for the past and the present to come together and discuss the future."
