Online reader polls aren’t scientific surveys, especially since there are a limited number of respondents and the data  is not verified. With that being said, Hearing Review‘s  latest online poll reveals that 40% of the respondents dispense one hearing aid brand more than 80% of the time.

If one includes the next category, where 27% of respondents said they chose one brand 60%-80% of the time, then 67% of respondents chose one brand over half the time.

If accurate, it says a great deal about brand loyalty among those who recommend hearing instruments for their clients. However, it does not reveal why the respondents are so brand loyal. That’s a market research question for the various hearing instrument brands.
