Beltone has been active in the hearing healthcare industry for the past 75 years, and celebrated this history at its 2015 annual meeting, held at the Sheraton Chicago Hotel & Towers in Chicago from April 9-11. The company’s 3-day National Meeting, themed “Catch the Beltone Spirit,” included over 750 attendees from Beltone’s US and Canadian dispenser network, as well as international guests representing the US, Canada, Japan, and Europe.
Beltone reports that company president Todd Murray kicked off the meeting with a keynote address that highlighted Beltone’s positive performance, new consumer research on the strength of Beltone’s brand, and celebrated the company’s 75th anniversary. A number of well-known thought leaders and motivational speakers were featured during this 3-day event, including Chris Gardner, author of The Pursuit of Happyness.
Murray congratulated all of the company’s network members for their achievements and presented performance awards to top practitioners from the company’s domestic and international office locations. At its award ceremony honoring hearing care practitioners and business owners, Beltone presented its President’s Cup Award to Scott & Sarah Larson, Onalaska, Wis. The award honors individuals who consistently provide a high level of patient hearing care within their communities.
“This respected award recognizes Beltone practitioners whose dedication and passion for hearing care go well beyond their office and into the community,” said Beltone President Todd Murray. “The Larsons’ leadership and dedication are the ultimate example of this and they continue to find unique ways to give back to their community.”
Beltone presented other top performance awards as well, including the Circle of Excellence Award to Daniel and Jean Fletcher of Southgate, Mich. The Circle of Excellence award identifies the ‘best of the best’ based on a series of best practice criteria developed specifically for members of the Beltone network.
Beltone announced that the conference sessions during the event focused on the company’s latest product introduction, the Beltone Legend. Attendees also learned how to maximize the value of Beltone in their local markets and practices.
