Amplifon Hearing Health Care, an independent provider of hearing benefit solutions in the US, announced it has named Carrie Meyer, AuD, to the newly established position of Director of Clinical Programs.

Dr Meyer brings more than 30 years of clinical experience to her position at Amplifon Hearing Health Care. Prior to taking on this new role, Dr Meyer was Lead Audiologist at Ridgeview Medical Center for 10 years, and, previously, staff audiologist at ENT Specialty Care of Minnesota for nine years. She is currently a member of the Board of Regents at Concordia University, St Paul. Dr Meyer received her Doctorate of Audiology from A.T. Still University and Master’s Degree in Audiology from the University of Wisconsin-Madison.

“I am confident that Carrie’s extensive clinical background and deep knowledge of the insurance side of the business make her the perfect person to lead this critical function for our business,” said Tabatha Erck, EdD, MPH, senior vice president of Amplifon Hearing Health Care. “She is essential to our future growth as we continue designing and implementing patient-centered, quality-care hearing benefit products and services to meet the needs of our customers.”

Dr Meyer is equally excited to be part of the new wave of hearing health care, and to help more people with hearing loss access current diagnostic and treatment options. “I am thrilled to take on this new challenge, combining my experience in audiology and health care with a leading company in hearing health care and wellness,” said Dr Meyer. “I am passionate about hearing health and welcome the opportunity to collaborate with Amplifon Hearing Health Care’s health insurance customers, their members, and providers.”

Dr Meyer lives in Minnetonka with her husband Ken and their very spoiled cat. They have four children and love to spend their time outdoors hiking, canoeing, and exploring state and national parks.
