Christa S. Nuber, Associate Editor, The Hearing Review

In late-October, Christa S. Nuber, MA, joined The Hearing Review as associate editor. She will work closely with Hearing Review Publisher Dana Fisher, Editorial Director John Bethune, Editor-in-chief Karl Strom, and the editorial/creative staff to help produce its digital and print offerings. Nuber will also provide editorial support for the print and digital versions of 24×7, another publication in Allied Media’s health portfolio, a division of Anthem Media.

Nuber has previously held positions on both sides of the media equation, moving from roles in communications and marketing into roles in writing and editing for digital media and print publishing. Most recently, Nuber worked as an associate health editor at Internet Brands, Inc, in El Segundo, California, creating and managing content for 15 health-related websites.

No stranger to the hearing health industry, Nuber served as communications director for the House Research Institute (formerly House Ear Institute) in Los Angeles for 7 years, simultaneously serving as managing editor of the institute’s signature publication, House Calls Magazine. During her tenure at HRI, Nuber collaborated with research scientists, House Clinic doctors, audiology professionals, and many editors at top media outlets on hearing science and hearing health stories, including several articles with The Hearing Review.

Nuber is based in Los Angeles and has a master’s degree in African Area Studies/International Relations.
