For the second year, EarQ worked with members of the NFL Players Association (NFLPA) to advocate the importance of maintaining one’s hearing health throughout activities leading to the Big Game on February 2.

Local EarQ providers performed free video ear inspections for the players, as well as helped educate attendees about their hearing health and the advanced hearing loss solutions available today. EarQ is a member discount program provider for the NFLPA.

On Saturday, February 1, the EarQ team and representatives of its non-profit organization, the HearStrong Foundation, honored the Gallaudet University Bisons football team as HearStrong Champions during the NFLPA’s private “Smocks and Jocks” art auction event.

The Bisons received national attention in 2013 when they earned a 9-1 record en route to a conference title and the first NCAA playoff berth in the program’s history

“One of our goals is to show people that we are defined by how we react to challenges, rather than the challenges themselves,” says Ed Keller, president of EarQ and founder of the HearStrong Foundation. “By celebrating inspirational individuals like the members of this team, we are closer to reaching that goal.”
