The 19th annual convention of the Colorado Academy of Audiology is to be held from September 30 to October 2 in Breckenridge, Colo.
While the main draw will be the outstanding schedule of speakers, the town of Breckenridge has many alternative options to tempt attendees away from the schedule of events. The Historic District has at least 50 eating establishments whose offerings range from deli sandwiches to Asian cuisine–and more than 200 shops in the downtown area sell wares ranging from handmade soaps to funky women’s clothing and Native American artwork.
There are three golf courses in the area, including the Breckenridge Golf Club’s Jack Nicklaus-designed, 27-hole golf course, and two courses at the Keystone Resort, a short drive away. For those who want to escape the stresses of the convention, there are several spas, the Breckenridge Recreation Center, and a year-round ice skating arena. For those who want more adventure, bicycles can be rented through Breckenridge Sports located at the Breckenridge Peak 8 Fun Park, which offers activities for the entire family.
