The American Cochlear Implant Alliance (ACI Alliance) announced that registration is open for the its annual clinical research conference CI2023: Cochlear Implants in Children and Adults taking place in Dallas, Texas on June 7-10, 2023. The conference will be hosted at the Hyatt Regency Dallas Hotel. 

CI2023 Dallas will feature keynote lectures, panel sessions, and podium and poster sessions complete with live discussion allowing attendees to pursue a wide array of cochlear implant and related content. Attendees and presenters include audiologists, physicians, speech pathologists, psychologists, scientists, engineers, educators, students, advocates, and others involved in cochlear implantation sharing multi-disciplinary scientific information. Attendees can expect a diverse exhibit hall with opportunities to interact with a variety of industry, government and non-profit institutions. 

Carolyn J. Brown, PhD, will deliver the Dr John K. Niparko Lecture at the Opening Session of CI2023 Dallas on Thursday morning, June 8. Dr Brown will present on “Cochlear Implants at IOWA: 1983 – 2023.” Dr Brown will share the evolution of CI research and development at the University of Iowa over the last four decades. 

Ferenc Bunta, PhD, will be a keynote speaker with his presentation “Speech and Language Production of Bilingual Children with Cochlear Implants: Highlights and Clinical Implications,” addressing the conference theme of considerations for non-English speaking patients. Dr Pablo J. Sanchez, MD, will deliver a keynote presentation on “Congenital CMV Infection and Hearing Loss: It’s Time to Screen!” Dr Sanchez will address the theme of CMV (cytomegalovirus) and cochlear implantation, particularly in children. 

Registration discounts are offered for ACI Alliance members and early bird rates are available through April 7. The full conference program will be available in the spring and CEUs will be offered.
