A trio of products from Phonak, Stafa, Switzerland—the Audéo Mini and Audéo SMART hearing aids, and Click’nTalk wireless transmitter for mobile phones—have won 2010 iF (International Forum Design) product design awards in the medicine/health care category.
The awards, introduced in the early 1950s, recognize outstanding quality in design.
More than 5,000 products from more than 50 countries are submitted annually for the competition.
"It has always been our goal to combine innovative features, highest quality, and an attractive design in our products," said Phonak CEO Valentin Chapero, in a statement. "The fact that three of our products have been acknowledged by the high-ranking iF design awards’ jury confirms the validity and relevance of this approach.“
The official prize ceremony will take place March 2, 2010 in Hanover, Germany.
