The first of four 2007 Audiology Foundation of America (AFA) postcard scholarships given to help recipients pursue AuD distance education has been awarded to Texas audiologist Kenneth Martin, Jr. has won.

The postcard and Martin’s $1,000 scholarship are sponsored by ESCO (www.earserv.com), a company that specializes in protection and financing plans for hearing aids, sponsored.

Martin is the lead audiologist at Good Shepherd Medical Center in Longview, TX, where he manages the newborn hearing screening program and provides care in the outpatient audiology clinic. He will pursue AuD education at the Arizona School of Health Sciences.

“I’ve decided to pursue my Au.D. because I have a lasting interest in audiology and want to learn as much as possible to provide a higher quality of service to my patients,” Martin said.
