Beltone announced they will be providing relief for the hard-of-hearing community impacted by Hurricane Irma. Beltone, part of the GN Hearing Care group, is a hearing aid company based in Chicago, Ill. The storm, which brought devastation to a large number of Florida residents, will have lasting consequences in countless ways.
Beltone pledges to support any person who has lost or damaged their hearing aids due to Hurricane Irma. Beltone users will have their Lost, Stolen, and Damaged co-pays waived to help replace their current technology. Those who did not wear Beltone devices prior to the storm will be supported through the Beltone Foundation,—a charitable organization that donates hearing instruments to needy individuals—according to the company.
“We at Beltone are devastated by the destruction Hurricane Irma left behind,” said Corrine Perritano, president of Beltone North America. “As we watch the aftermath of this storm unfold, we know that, as a service provider company, we must do something to help those affected by this terrible natural disaster. The Beltone Family will do what it can to help.”
