Educators and clinical instructors will gather on June 11-13, 2015 for the 6th biennial CSD Teaching Conference at the University of Pittsburgh. This focus of the conference will address the art and science of teaching amplification. Teaching amplification was the subject of the inaugural University of Pittsburgh Audiology Teaching Conference in 2005, and the organizers report that the time has come to address this important topic again.
The Audiology Teaching Conference, “Teaching Amplification – 10 Years Later”, will be chaired by Catherine Palmer, PhD. The goal of the conference is to provide audiology faculty and clinical instructors an opportunity to discuss best practices in teaching the topic of amplification.
Conference faculty are nationally recognized educators who will share examples of course/clinical handouts, practicum strategies, reference lists, take-home assignments, lab exercises, practical exams, and more. Break-out sessions and poster sessions will give participants an opportunity to share clinical teaching ideas with colleagues. Participants will have access to conference materials and contact information to facilitate ongoing interaction about clinical teaching interests.
Although registration for the conference has not yet opened, you can be added to the registration mailing list by emailing Jenifer Fruit, AuD at: [email protected]
