EarQ Group, Syracuse, NY, introduces the Audiology Recruiting Program, which furnishes audiology programs at colleges and universities nationwide with additional externship and job placement opportunities for their students.
The program is designed to assist EarQ Group members with adding and replacing audiology staff in addition to planning exit strategies.
Audiology students who participate in externships through this program receive multidimensional practical training and advantages from working in a private practice setting. Students can receive training on audiologic evaluation, impedance, otoacoustic emissions, long-term hearing care, business management, and budget planning.
EarQ Group members have access to a pool of audiology students and graduates nationwide. Members who are looking into the program for exit strategies are able to prepare their acquisition through the support of their EarQ group business advisor.
“We wanted to provide our members and emerging audiologists with a way to create valuable relationships now and into the future,” says Joy Dittenhoefer, AuD and director of audiology for the EarQ Group. “The future of the hearing health care industry will be dependent on maintaining the private practice. With the development of hearing centers in retail chains and Internet hearing aid shopping, we saw a need for such a (program).”
EarQ Group is a nationwide network of nearly 800 practice locations that are all independently owned and operated. It provides members with practice support including value-based marketing, business tools, audiology support, and staff training. Each member is provided with an industry-trained business advisor to act as their assistant for all their business needs.
