Wells Fargo & Company (NYSE: WFC), Des Moines, Iowa, announced that it has lowered the interest rate on its Wells Fargo Health Advantage® credit card program to a variable 9.99% APR. The Wells Fargo Health Advantage credit card program is designed for dentists, audiologists, vision and veterinary professionals. The new, low rate will be applied to new purchases made on or after October 22, 2013. In addition, the new program now also offers longer special financing terms of up to 60 months. As these changes roll out, the company reports that its team of relationship managers and trainers are working with healthcare providers to make sure they understand the changes for their practice and their patients.
“We are making this change because we think it is the right thing to do for patients who are faced with deciding how to pay for treatment that isn’t completely covered by their insurance,” said Terry Fuller, senior vice president with Wells Fargo Retail Services. “It also offers health care providers the opportunity to build their practice and help their patients make informed choices regarding their treatment and care.”
