California-based Sycle, a practice management system for the hearing care industry, has announced that it will now be offering EPIC hearing device service contracts to participating providers’ patients. The service contracts will offer protection from electronic or mechanical failure and accidental damage of hearing aids and, according to the announcement, all repairs or replacements will be originated through the patient’s provider. Sycle reports that it will provide all marketing services required, and will offer the service contracts to the patients on behalf of participating providers.
Sycle further reports that providers will receive a professional fee for all completed sales ranging from $25 to $80 per device, and all commissions will be paid to the provider weekly. Sycle is partnering with EPIC Hearing Insurance Agency to utilize the EPIC service contract program developed to reduce the cost of hearing device maintenance and repairs, making it a predictable expense.
“We are excited about this partnership with Sycle which allows EPIC to continue to maximize the value of good hearing in the marketplace and complete the suite of hearing care services and products available to the consumer through Sycle providers,” said Brad Volkmer, EPIC president and CEO. “Hearing is a valuable life sense, and these hearing aid protection plans will maximize the life and use of hearing products for those people who rely on them for a better quality of life.”
Both companies report that CNA Warranty Services Inc is the Obligor under these plans in all US jurisdictions except Florida. In Florida, the Obligor under this plan is CNA Warranty Services Inc of Florida. Critical Period Insurance Agency Inc (CPIA) is the broker who facilitated the partnership with EPIC and Sycle.
