WebAward Ida Institute has announced that for the sixth year in a row it has earned the Web Marketing Association WebAward for Outstanding Achievement in Web Development in the non-profit category. The international WebAward competition recognized idainstitute.com, the Institute’s multimedia hearing loss website that serves as a hub for knowledge dissemination, e-learning and access to Ida tools, videos, interviews, reports, and articles.

This year, judges gave an “outstanding” rating to the redesigned, mobile-friendly website that optimizes seamless access to content, tools, and collaborative opportunities regardless of the channel.

“The Ida website is a virtual connection to a global audience,” said Ida Institute Managing Director Lise Lotte Bundesen. “As our content has grown, so has the number of people accessing our resources. The mobile-friendly website enables us to provide ready access to Ida’s popular Toolbox by students, educators and clinicians, who utilize the tools in classroom and clinic settings.”

The website design is said to make it easier for visitors to interact and engage, with intuitive navigation so that users can easily find the information they are looking for with fewer clicks, no matter where they are or which device they are using.

In keeping with the Ida Institute vision to foster a better understanding of the human dynamics of hearing loss, the Ida website is an open collaborative space where knowledge, information, and resources are freely shared. Established in 2007 with a grant from the Oticon Foundation, the Ida Institute is an independent, non-profit organization that aims to foster a better understanding of the human dynamics associated with hearing loss. The Institute collaborates globally with hearing care professionals to co-create knowledge and professional tools.

The Web Marketing Association works to create a high standard of excellence for website development and marketing on the Internet.
