The Oticon Hearing Foundation, in partnership with the American Academy of Audiology Foundation (AAA Foundation) have issued a call for applications for Project Amazon 2015.

This is the fourth year that the Oticon Hearing Foundation has partnered with the AAA Foundation to fund Project Amazon, a humanitarian mission that supports sustainable hearing care for children and adults in impoverished Amazon River communities. Oticon will underwrite costs for one licensed audiologist and one audiology student to travel to Brazil and work side-by-side with staff from the non-profit Oticon Clinic in Parintins.

Apply for Project Amazon 2015 through June 15

According to information from the Oticon Hearing Foundation and the AAA Foundation, audiologists and audiology students who have completed at least two years in an AuD program may submit an application to participate in the program. Applications are available online on the Oticon Hearing Foundation and AAA Foundation websites.

All completed applications received by the June 15, 2015 deadline will be reviewed by a committee comprised of AAA Foundation and Oticon Hearing Foundation representatives. The selected audiologist and student will be notified in August.
