The Audiology Foundation of America (AFA), Lafayette, Ind, is accepting applications for AuD student grants to attend the Academy of Doctors of Audiology (ADA) convention as part of an annual student mentoring program held there, says AFA.
The grants are available to third- and fourth-year students (as of fall 2009) in four-year AuD programs.
The convention is scheduled in Clearwater Beach, Fla, from October 29 to 31, and a specially tailored afternoon of student programming is planned for student mentoring program attendees.
Grant application forms and accompanying materials must be submitted to the AFA by August 17. Winners will participate in an onsite mentoring program activities and receive paid convention registration, travel grants, and hotel rooms at the Hilton Clearwater Beach Resort. Most meals will be provided.
The 2009 ADA Student Mentoring Program is funded by the AFA and through specially designated donations by audiology practitioners.
