The Ida Institute Research Committee announced it is now accepting proposals for the 2019 Ida Research Grant.
Funding will be awarded to projects that develop evidence related to Ida Institute methods and tools and aim to demonstrate the effect of person-centered practice in hearing care. The Ida Institute tools are said to support continued professional development and operationalization of person-centered care in clinical practice.
In 2019, the Research Committee is particularly interested in projects related to the following topics:
- Applications of Ida’s Transitions Management framework for families and professionals helping young people manage transitions.
- The use of Ida’s ethnographic videos for the education of students and clinicians.
- Application of Ida’s GROUP Aural Rehabilitation.
The Research Committee will review applications and select three projects. Applicants may request up to $10,000 USD in funding. The committee members are Committee Chair Professor Louise Hickson, Dr Joseph Montano, Dr Elisabet Sundewall Thorén, Professor Kris English, and Melanie Gregory.
Recipients of the grant agree to begin their research by September 1, 2019, and submit results by September 1, 2020.
