The Deafness Research Foundation (DRF) has granted awards to 23 research scientists to support research efforts in the field of hearing research.

For this year’s grant selection, DRF’s Council of Scientific Trustees reviewed grant applications from renowned scientists at top research institutions around the country and selected the research projects of 23 talented PhD’s and/or MDs. Each will receive a grant of $20,000. A complete list of the 2007-2008 grants recipients is downloadable at the organizations Web site.

Research areas include fundamental auditory research; hearing and balance restoration; hearing loss; vestibular and balance disorders and tinnitus.
