Neuromod Devices has named two senior commercial leaders as it works to scale access to its Lenire bimodal neuromodulation tinnitus treatment device globally.
Neuromod Devices has appointed Joe Ghiz as chief commercial officer (CCO) and Shannon Basham as VP of channel development, the Dublin-based medical technology company announced Oct. 1, 2026.
Joe Ghiz Brings Global Commercial Leadership Experience
Ghiz joins Neuromod from Align Technology, the company behind Invisalign, where he served as general manager of sales and held multiple global commercial leadership positions. His background includes more than a decade at Johnson & Johnson Vision Care, where he held leadership roles spanning sales, marketing, and business development.
“We are delighted to welcome Joe Ghiz to Neuromod at a pivotal moment where robust clinical evidence, global regulatory approval, and broad commercial adoption has positioned our company for rapid scaling to address the needs of 740 million tinnitus sufferers worldwide,” says Dr Ross O’Neill, Neuromod CEO, in a release. “Mr Ghiz brings experience from Align Technology, where he helped the company create a new category of aligner, which reshaped how orthodontists and dentists practice and built a $10 billion company as a result.”
In his new role, Ghiz will lead Neuromod’s global commercial function as the company works to position Lenire as a standard of care for tinnitus in ENT and audiology practices.
“Lenire has already transformed the lives of tens of thousands of tinnitus patients and has the potential to revolutionize tinnitus care as a whole. I look forward to working with Neuromod’s leadership team to deliver the commercial strategy required to reach more clinicians and give millions of patients access to life-changing care,” says Ghiz, in a release.
Shannon Basham Brings Two Decades of Hearing Care Experience
Basham brings more than 20 years of experience in the hearing care industry, having most recently served as senior director of audiology for Sonova Group in the US. In that role, she served as the market-facing head of audiology for the Phonak and Unitron wholesale businesses, leading strategy and vision for the audiology and clinical education departments.
Prior to that position, Basham spent a decade as director of clinical training for Phonak, overseeing content development, management, implementation, and communication of training and education programs across all Phonak product lines.
Earlier in her career, Basham served as clinical training manager at Insound Medical, where she helped commercialize and scale the Lyric hearing aid, an effort that supported Insound’s acquisition by Sonova.
