The University of Pittsburgh Department of Communication Science and Disorders announced that it will be hosting its virtual biennial Teaching Conference on Thursday, June 10 and Friday, June 11, 2021. The evidence base supporting the use of simulation in both didactic and clinical instructional settings will be explored.  The use-case in audiology will be discussed and demonstrated throughout the program by individuals implementing simulation across audiology topics in the classroom and clinic. Issues related to accreditation and certification when using simulation to meet goals in an academic program will be highlighted. Industry partners supporting a variety of simulation capabilities will provide detailed descriptions and demonstrations of their technology. Break-out and panel discussions will allow interaction to enhance what is presented in the program. The conference will include poster presentations from individuals in the field using simulation. This meeting will be offered on a professional virtual platform allowing for real time exchange and simulation demonstrations.

All sessions will be live on June 10 and 11. Recordings of the sessions will be available to registrants for 30 days following the conference.
