Starkey announced that the Evolv AI, has won a 2022 Artificial Intelligence Excellence Award, presented by the Business Intelligence Group (BIG). This annual business awards program recognizes organizations, products, and people who bring artificial intelligence to life and apply it to solve real problems.

“Congratulations to the entire Starkey team for your tireless work in pushing technological boundaries,” said Chief Technology Officer and Executive Vice President of Engineering, Achin Bhowmik, PhD. “Evolv AI has made the smartest hearing aids even smarter. By focusing on innovation and technology, we’ve paved the way for cutting-edge products that truly help people live better lives.”

Evolv AI set the stage for an entirely new hearing ecosystem that not only emphasizes hearing’s impact on overall health and wellness but creates an effortless user experience. The hearing aids are built on Starkey Sound, described by the company as “a groundbreaking technology created by years of refining Starkey’s research and science-based algorithms to power high-fidelity audio, which is modeled after the human auditory system.” Like the brain, Starkey Sound is designed to automatically suppress background noise and increase speech audibility and intelligibility with machine learning technology, Starkey says. The combination of these features creates “an effortless hearing experience for users. Evolv AI’s always on and always automatic approach delivers realistic and genuine sound quality in every environment, without the need to do anything extra.”

“This award is the product of team effort and I want to thank the Starkey family for all of the hard work and dedication that made this possible,” said Starkey President and CEO Brandon Sawalich. “As a dedicated partner to hearing healthcare professionals, we are proud to continue to earn recognition for excellence in innovation and provide groundbreaking benefits for those with hearing loss.”
