The “world’s largest convention of hearing care professionals” opens its gates to approximately 8,000 hearing care professionals and industry experts on Wednesday, October 16. The European Union of Hearing Acousticians (EUHA) 64th International Congress will be held in Nuremberg, Germany, from October 16-18, 2019, and its focus will be on forward-looking issues from the fields of artificial intelligence, digitization, and innovative sensor technology. The conference schedule includes more than 20 expert lectures and 6 tutorials, presented by internationally renowned speakers, as well as nearly 150 companies and organizations in an expansive and busy convention hall.

“The industry exhibition will be larger than ever, featuring almost 150 exhibitors showcasing the latest in hearing technology as well as innovations from diagnostics and accessories, on a gross floor space of some 15,000 square meters,” said Dr Stefan Zimmer, Chairman of the Board of the German Hearing Aid Industry Association (BVHI).

“We look forward to welcoming more than 8,000 delegates from around 80 countries, taking a joint look ahead to the future,” says EUHA President Beate Gromke. “Topics such as telemedicine, modern microphone technology, and the customer’s purchasing behaviour will be highlighted, as will artificial intelligence in signal processing or current studies on the subject of feedback.”

A new format for Friday will be debuted as “Future Friday.” The day will start with fast-track presentations in the morning and activities at the exhibition stands. When the trade exhibition closes at 2 pm, speakers in a special part of the program will be dealing with future-oriented topics from the hearing aid industry.
