The British and Irish Hearing Instrument Manufacturers Association (BIHIMA) announced the details of its second conference, to be held on June 4-5, 2020 at Edgbaston Cricket Ground, Birmingham, UK.
Following the inaugural conference in 2018, the seven member firms of BIHIMA will invite the industry back together for another event, this time focusing on the theme of “Disruption,” according to BIHIMA’s announcement.

The speaker program and workshop series will demonstrate how “disruption” is a force to be welcomed, bringing challenge and generating innovation and positive change—from disruptive technology which leads to new products, to disruptive solutions for running a retail practice, to disruptive factors—such as new consumer trends—which change the entire audiology landscape.

The conference will also revolve around a “sound experience” exhibition hosted by the BIHIMA members, offering delegates the opportunity to get up close to the latest technology. There will also be a speaker program and evening entertainment with networking opportunities, and the British Society of Hearing Aid Audiologists (BSHAA) will be holding its annual general meeting at the event.

Tickets for the conference will be available on a first-come-first-served basis and will be limited in number, available at: www.bihima.com. Sign up to BIHIMA’s database here to be alerted when registration is live.

“The 2018 conference yielded a fascinating exchange of ideas and hugely positive feedback, so it’s wonderful that we are now able to host a follow-up event in 2020. This year’s theme of ‘disruption’ will no doubt lead to yet more stimulating debates and we are excited that BIHIMA is playing a key role and generating real progress in our industry,” said the BIHIMA Chairman, Paul Surridge.
