Eargo’s new hearing aids model provides comfort and confidence

The need for increased awareness around hearing wellness has been amplified now that hearing aids are available over-the-counter since the FDA’s ruling in August 2022. Eargo is making solutions for hearing loss more accessible to everyone while innovating the devices to be practically invisible. Last month the brand launched its latest hearing aid, Eargo 7, which combines the high-tech and high-touch of high-end devices, at a more affordable price point.

Approximately over 47 million Americans suffer from hearing loss, but only 1 in 5 opt for a hearing device due to the stigma around wearing one. With all of the non-stop streaming, gaming, and video calls, the world is getting louder and the age range for those experiencing hearing loss is getting even younger. Eargo’s consumer-driven model focuses on accessibility, convenience, education, and affordability, amplified by the FDA’s ruling late last year to allow hearing aids to be sold over-the-counter.

Eargo 7, the brand’s latest model that was announced earlier this year, just became available for purchase on February 13th on Eargo.com, in Best Buy and Victra stores. Eargo’s first new product in 2023 was recently cleared as an OTC, self-fitting product that combines the high-tech and high-touch of high-end devices at a more affordable price point. Fully water resistant with all-day battery life on a single charge, Eargo 7 now offers Sound Adjust+ technology that identifies the user’s soundscape and automatically selects the hearing device’s settings for comfort or speech clarity.
