A Procedure for Sound Quality Evaluation of Hearing Aids

Sound quality judgements in hearing aids have largely been studied using various groups of hearing-impaired individuals with specific losses who listen to different listening environments. This study looks at the sound quality of three premium hearing aids in their default settings using normal-hearing subjects and an independent laboratory, pointing out why this may be a suitable method, as well as noting some caveats for interpreting the data.
