Jan Metzdorff

Metzdorff is a hearing industry veteran with more than 22 years of multinational leadership experience. He joined Sonova in 2004 and has held numerous senior management positions across several brands, more recently as president of Unitron and Phonak. In April, he will return home to his family in Switzerland for a new assignment with Sonova that will be communicated at a later date.

“Over the past two years, Jan has been instrumental in developing a new strategic direction for the US market and restructuring the company for accelerated growth,” said Claude Diversi, Group VP of Hearing Instruments Wholesale.  “As his assignment slowly winds down, we’re excited to welcome Sandy to the Sonova family. In the coming months, she will work closely with Jan to facilitate a smooth transition. She is taking over a well-positioned company and ee wish her all the best in her new role.”

Brandmeier joins Sonova from the Wall Family Enterprise, a business serving customers globally in the lifelong learning sector. During her 7 years with the company as a CEO, she transformed the business to consistently over-perform market growth, turned it into a highly-profitable growth engine, and achieved substantial savings that funded new growth opportunities, according to Sonova. From 2009 to 2012, Brandmeier served as President of Leica Microsystems North American Operations, where she oversaw the Life Sciences, Medical and Industry divisions. Prior to that, she spent more than 20 years in the healthcare field, including general management positions at GE Healthcare. She holds an MBA from the University of Wisconsin.
