Copenhagen, Denmark — Reuters is reporting that Danish hearing aid and headset maker GN Store Nord affirmed its full-year earnings guidance August 11 and said it expects to take hearing aid market share throughout the rest of the year.

GN repeated an outlook given in May for full-year earnings that projected an organic growth up to 5%.

"We expect to grow above the market in the second half of 2010," said Lars Viksmoen, head of GN’s main hearing aid business, ReSound.

Such an expectation is built on the successful introduction of ReSound’s ReSound Live and dot2 by ReSound in late 2009, combined with the global launch of ReSound Alera," Viksmoen says in the article.
