The Office of Special Education and Rehabilitative Services at the United States Department of Education (DE) is inviting applications for a new grant opportunity for those who have devices or programs to help children with hearing loss or other disabilities.

The fiscal year 2012 grant competition is from the DE’s Technical Assistance and Dissemination to Improve Services and Results for Children With Disabilities—Technical Assistance Center to Support Implementation of Evidence-Based Practices.

Applications became available on July 2, 2012, and the application deadline is August 1, 2012.

The purpose of the program is to promote the educational achievement of children with disabilities, such as hearing loss, and to provide technical assistance, supporting model demonstration projects, disseminating useful information, and implementing activities that are supported by scientifically based research.
