Audigy Medical has announced a partnership with the Marion Downs Center to support its mission in delivering high-quality hearing care and speech-language care to patients in Colorado and beyond.
The Center is named for renowned audiologist and hearing healthcare advocate Marion Downs who is generally regarded as “the mother of pediatric audiology.” Since her passing in 2014, the Marion Downs Center (MDC) has remained committed to carrying on Downs’ legacy in its devotion to educating the community while providing a high level of hearing healthcare and speech-language development services.
“We are committed to providing high quality services that include awareness, education, and support and feel the partnership with Audigy will help us pursue the vision,” said MDC President and CEO Sandra Abbott Gabbard, PhD. “The MDC will also continue the legacy of supporting students and professionals through science and community to help remove barriers to access for individuals with communication challenges.”
Audigy Medical reports that it is proud to be partnering with one of the most celebrated institutions in hearing care. “We know that our approach to business best practices and goal achievement will help support the Marion Downs Center in its mission to deliver exceptional levels of hearing and speech-language care to Colorado and beyond,” said Audigy President Mason Walker. “It’s an honor to work beside them.”
There are parallels between the missions of the two organizations. Where the MDC is recognized worldwide for its leadership, progressive innovations, and cutting-edge clinical services for individuals and families, Audigy exists to give practice owners, providers, and teams the tools required to engage teams, align goals, and create a patient-centric culture for the betterment of all involved.
“Our goal is to do for the Marion Downs Center what we do for all of our members,” continued Walker. “We aim to provide them the data, strategy, and implementation tactics necessary to keep the business side of the equation healthy and thriving, so they as practitioners can focus on doing what they do best: treating patients.” Audigy Medical is a data-driven otolaryngology, otology, neurotology, and academic and residency medical-management company. Audigy’s focus is on creating the processes and efficiencies that increase desired outcomes and drive growth. Audigy Medical blueprints best practices of the top-performing clinics and shares this knowledge with the business owners, practitioners, and academic and residency programs it works with.
The Marion Downs Center provides culturally sensitive services, resources, education, and research to support the needs of individuals who are deaf or hard of hearing or who have communication challenges, as well as their families and the professionals who serve them. All MDC activities value individual and family choice in communication and use of technology, striving to optimize the quality of life for all that it serves. The MDC operates as a nonprofit Center of Excellence, developing and providing hearing, speech, and language services and programs to the Colorado community. The MDC Frontiers in Hearing Symposium, focusing on auditory development and disorders, will be held in Estes Park, Colorado, from July 16–19, 2017.
