Audigy announced that 800 professionals representing independent hearing care and ear, nose, and throat practices across the US and Canada gathered for intensive learning and discussions about the future of the industry during Summit 2021: Momentum, June 17 and 18.
The event — a virtual experience for the second time in as many years — featured over 45 workshops and keynote presentations aimed to help practices and their teams seize opportunities, conquer challenges, provide the highest levels of patient care, and continue sustainable growth in a post-COVID world.
“In a time of unprecedented change, we know how critical it is to stay innovative, focused, and strong in today’s healthcare space,” said Mason Walker, Audigy president. “We’re leveraging this moment to help practices and their teams adapt, evolve, and grow through optimal effectiveness, efficiencies, and patient outcomes.”
Leaning into the theme of “momentum,” the Summit covered topics ranging from branding, contracts, and financial recordkeeping to personal leadership, over-the-counter industry disruptors, and more, with many of the courses CEU-eligible. Keynote speakers such as tech entrepreneur Josh Linkner and motivational presenter Jon Acuff — both New York Times best-selling authors — helped round out the two-day program, according to Audigy.
The Summit also offered breakout sessions with Audigy manufacturing partners ReSound, Starkey, Signia, Widex, and Oticon as well as an industry panel featuring Mikkel Knudsen, president at GN ReSound US; Mike O’Neil, president of Signia; Gary Rosenblum, president of Oticon; David Molella, managing director at GN Hearing Care Canada; Søren Nielsen, president of Widex USA; and Brandon Sawalich, president and CEO of Starkey.
“As a company dedicated to helping hearing care specialists and ear, nose, and throat experts reach their goals, we’re excited to see 2021 Summit attendees turn what they’ve learned into remarkable results,” said Kim Gilmore, Audigy’s senior vice president of operations. “We’re here to support them in keeping the momentum of success going strong.”
