In the past, Adams has photographed individuals from around the globe: in addition to his work being featured in such magazines as British Vogue, Vanity Fair, Harper’s Bazaar and his own magazine in Germany, Zoo, Adams recently released a book of portraits with Calvin Klein entitled “American Women” with all proceeds going to the New York based Sloan Kettering Memorial Hospital for Cancer.

Charged with capturing the images of Hear the World’s ambassadors and supporters, Adams’s first assignment was to photograph tenor, conductor and opera house director Plácido Domingo making the iconic Hear the World gesture of someone consciously hearing by placing their hand behind their ear.

Adams believes in the ideas behind the Hear the World initiative of raising awareness about the importance of hearing and to call attention to the social and emotional impact of hearing loss as well as prevention of and solutions to this problem that is affecting more than 10% of the world’s population.
